We are delighted to have signed-up to a new, national rents campaign that means five tenants across the country could be celebrating an impressive win.
All tenants need to do to qualify for the chance to win one of five centrally funded £1000 Love2Shop vouchers, is switch their rent payments to direct debit, and if tenants are already paying this way, they will be automatically entered into the draw as well.
We are one of 30 organisations already taking part in the campaign which will run until 30 October 2015, giving tenants plenty of time to make the switch.
The initiative, which encourages tenants to switch to the ease and convenience of Direct Debit, is run by Bacs Payment Schemes Limited (Bacs), the not-for-profit organisation behind direct debit in the UK.
The campaign aims to make tenants aware of the advantages paying rent via Direct Debit bring. This includes the convenience, and peace of mind afforded by knowing rent payments won’t be forgotten or missed. Payments are also protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee in the unlikely event of an error.
Caroline Morris, Financial Inclusion Manager for Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing, said:
“This campaign offers a fantastic incentive for tenants to switch to direct debit. Not only will switching make paying their rent much easier and simple, but they could win a great prize, and in time for Christmas shopping. I’d encourage all our tenants to make the switch.”
Furthermore, automated payments are much cheaper to process than the likes of cash and cheque and help ensure housing rent is paid on time.
If you would like to pay your rent by Direct Debit, contact your local rents team to request a mandate by emailing or calling us direct.
