We are delighted to announce that we have just received planning permission for 13 new homes in Bowling Green Lane, Albrighton.
The new homes will include two, three bed homes and 11, two bed homes which will be available for affordable rent and some for sale under Shared Ownership. They have all been sympathetically designed to incorporate the green open space and are close to good local amenities and excellent transport links.
Jason O'Donoghue, Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing’s Development Manager, said:
“This is great news. It’s all part of our commitment to providing much needed homes that are within people’s reach, and it’s one of our many developments taking place in the Bridgnorth and Oswestry areas.”
Now that planning permission has been granted, work is expected to start on site in Autumn 2018, with the homes all being completed by Summer 2019.
Once they are ready, they will be advertised on Shropshire HomePoint.
All of the homes will benefit from two parking spaces.
A consultation event was held with local people before planning permission was sought and a number of changes were made as a result of this. These changes include: widened access, the introduction of traffic calming measures with speed bumps, bollards around green space to prevent people parking on it, increased width of road and the introduction of lighting.
