Working with the Post Office to offer temporary service in Alveley

We have been working with the Post Office to offer a temporary mobile outreach service, following the closure of Alveley Post Office in May 2017.

The service, which is available every Tuesday between 11.45am to 12.45pm, operates from the carpark in Adren Way. The service will be in place until a more permanent solution can be found.

Nigel Wilson, Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing’s Senior Community Support Services Officer, said:

“We know how important post office services are to people in the area, which is why we were pleased to be able to offer our carpark as a base for the mobile service.

“This simple solution will mean that residents can continue to access the services they need, where they live, until the service is restored.”
